How we do things, in plain words.

Our Bulb Sizes & Quality

We're a small team that spends a lot of time with bulbs—feeling them, sorting them, talking about them over coffee. People know us for our larger bulbs, but what we're most proud of is the care that goes into every box we send.

What big bulbs means to us

How we talk about size

You'll see a straightforward size listed for each variety. If a plant is naturally compact, we say so. If a variety is a real show-stopper in bigger sizes, we'll tell you that too. The idea is to set the right expectation so what you plant matches what you picture.

Our year with the bulbs

Choosing: We visit growers we trust and stand in the fields at lifting time. We look for firmness, healthy skins, and that clean, dry "snap" that tells us a bulb has ripened well.

Letting them rest: After harvest, bulbs need time to cure. We give them that time. No rushing, no shortcuts.

Hand checks: Before packing, we tip the crates and check by hand. Anything soft, scarred, or doubtful doesn't make it into your order and gets composted.

Storing properly: Cool, dark, and dry—simple, steady conditions so bulbs arrive ready to root, not sprouting in the bag.

Packing day: We pack in breathable paper, add clear labels, and tuck in any notes that might help (like "loves a sheltered spot" or "excellent in pots"). Where we can, we avoid plastic.

Matching bulbs to your space

Borders, pots, windy corners, shady paths—each spot asks for something slightly different. If you send us a quick photo or sketch, we'll suggest what fits: sturdy stems for exposed beds, fuller sizes for statement pots, or smaller, natural-looking bulbs for drifts. No sales pitch—just what we'd do at home.

What you can expect from us

Honest, careful grading. We pick the good ones and label them plainly.

Thoughtful packing. Enough protection to travel well, not so much that you're wrestling with excess packaging.

Real help. Ask us anything—depth, spacing, timing, or whether a variety suits your soil. You'll get a practical answer, not a scripted one.

We make it right. If something arrives damaged or not as described, tell us. We'll sort it quickly and fairly.
