BLOM began in the Dutch bulb-growing region, right next to the Keukenhof. This area is known worldwide for its flower fields and growers. When you grow up here, bulbs aren’t just something you plant in spring. They are part of everyday life. The soil, the seasons and the fields shape the rhythm of the whole region.

Growing the Way We Were Taught
For me, it started young.
When I was about eight, I sold tulips from home while my father ran his flower and bulb shop. Nothing big or commercial — just small moments that showed me how much care goes into growing something simple and beautiful. Those early memories stayed with me.

As I grew older, I saw how fast life was becoming.
More screens, more pressure, and less time outside.
Gardening slowly turned into something to post online instead of a quiet moment for yourself.
The real reason people garden — to breathe, slow down and feel connected to something natural — was starting to fade.
That’s one of the reasons I created BLOM. To help people slow down.
To bring them back into their garden, even for a few peaceful minutes.To show that you don’t need experience to grow something beautiful. Sometimes all you need is a good bulb and a few clear steps.

As growers ourselves, we know the frustration of unclear information and busy packaging.
